Milt Stegall - Situps / Crunches?
I read that MIlt Stegall (professional WR - CFL - Blue Bombers) does 500-700 situps / crunches a day

His nickname is "turtle man" cuz his abs are so hard

Should this be my goal?

Or should I try to be doing maybe 100 with sets of 10 by using high resistance?

I've read on sites that ABS are just like any other muscle and should be only worked 2-3 times a week with resistance

While others say ABS are special and can do 500+ crunches a day

I know the 500+ method worked for MIlt Stegall, but he also does lots of running and strength training exercises

Right now I'm able to do 1000 crunches by doing 50 at a time (20 sets)

My form is as follows: Legs raised on a bench with knees touching but feet apart and toes touching (read on bodybuilding.com this is how to do proper crunches for max results).
Back is firmly on the ground and I have my arms placed crossed on my shoulders holding a 10lb weight.
I lift my shoulderblades off of the ground (etc)
